Karting

.
Karting started in year 1956. When Art Ingels from america built the first kart. Arthur Ingels was a sportscar builder at Kurtis craft in California, USA.

The kart he built, consisted of a West Bend 2-speed lawnmover engine, a groove tubular chassis that was simple enough to withstand his 95kg body weight. A set of tires was also mounted with fairly high amount of compressed air, while driving the rear wheels via bicycle chain.

The first impression of the kart was exceptional. He didn't just get surprised himself, but when he first drove off to the local parking lot with his new kart he cought many surprised and interested onlookers.

In 1957, Bill Rowles, Duffy Livingstone and Roy Desbrow founded the very first Go-Kart company, Ingells-Borelli. The first kart they'd build was Caretta Kart, which was a big innovation at a endurance competition in 1961.

.
Karting is often interesting and
exciting. Compared to the bigger
race cars, success depends
mostly on driving skills than on
the car itself.

Karting competitions demand
intensive concentration, quick
and sharp reflexes and strength.
Knowledge of karts and engines
behavior and to know how to
analyse changes that was done
on the setup is important.

Karting is usually the first step in
carsports before you continue
with the driving career. As an
example, the F1 World
